The Greek Festival and the Holidays

Yesterday mom, Wes and myself went to The Greek Festival in Houston. OMG! It was so much fun! We sat on the grass and drank wine, ate Souvlaki (one of my fav Greek dishes) and shopped for great Greek trinkets! It was a total blast. Wes bought us this great multi-colored lantern that we will hang on our back porch, once we get one. None of us had ever been to this festival before, but let me tell you, we all want to be Greek now! We went to Yia Yia Marys for dinner and it was delicious. Mousaka, Olive Bread, Baklava Cheesecake...yum, yum!! I wanna go back soon! Wes and I are now infatuated with the Greek culture and we got online as soon as we got home and looked up vacations in Greece. I want to go so bad.

On another note...I can't wait for Christmas! I got Wes the GREATEST gift ever...he's gonna freak. I highly doubt he reads this blog, but just in case, I have to keep it a secret for now. Let me just say, he won't forget our first Christmas together! We had this stupid "$200." rule, yet I didn't listen to that crap! He spent $200 last Christmas on Luca! So, I guess I'm on the same gifting level as the dog! LOL.
